Time Travel in Vigan

Wanna go back in time and see what happened in the past? Then I guess Vigan is the perfect place to satisfy your curious mind! Located at the province of Ilocos Sur in the Philippines is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is one of the few Hispanic towns left in the Philippines which structures were preserved. In 2015, it became one of the new  7 wonders cities.

Sorry if this is a bit blurry….

The Calle Crisologo in Vigan is the most famous street where you can find different shops that you can buy souvenirs from. The lower part of the houses in this area are already made of stone for they need to make it sturdy since it is where the shops are while the upper part are still made of wood and being preserved. You can also enjoy the city while riding a Calesa since it is prominent in the area/city. You can really feel like you are being transported into the Spanish era since the city has a lot of history to offer especially when it comes to it.

Even the McDonald’s!!!

Before I forgot, there is a stall in Calle Crisologo that sells fresh calamansi juice with honey and I recommend you to try it since it is the best calamansi juice I’ve ever tried! Swear! I even forgot to take a picture of it and the name of the store! Yup! That’s how delicious it is! #Palusot

If you’re worried that your kids won’t enjoy the city, don’t worry! The city also offers a zoo called Baluarte where you can see different animals all over the world like deer, zebras, kangaroos, wallabies, ostrich, tiger and many more! There is also a Safari Gallery where you can see preserved animals from different countries that I think were killed legally.

And for those Instagram lovers, Vigan, especially Calle Crisologo is the perfect place to take your #OOTD pictures or in the Butterfly Garden in Baluarte! So… what are you waiting for? Plan your trip and head to Vigan immediately before it gets too crowded this summer!
