Nowadays, we all know that many Filipino as well as any other nationalities are addicted to K-POP, K-DRAMA and other Korean stuff. I admit that I am one of those who is slowly taken away by k-drama and Korean skin care products. Because of that, I have discovered a hot spring resort in Laguna which is owned by who I think is Korean since the resort is all Korean-ish.
88 Hot Spring Resort is located in Calamba, Laguna which is an hour away from Manila. They have 11 swimming pools which its water is from under the ground. They have Jacuzzi and Herbal pool, Hot pools and their famous Fengshui Energy Pool which is an 8-octagon pools and its temperature ranges from 35 – 40 degrees (or higher) I think? I can’t remember. IT IS SO HOT. Like I need to soak my legs first for 5 – 10 minutes then I’ll slowly soak my body and I will flinch because I can not take the heat. Because you know I’m hot na nga tapos magsu-swim pa ako doon. Hahahaha! Chos! JK. We were watching Koreans in the resort on how they would soak their body in that pool in just seconds!! And even though we imitate their technique, still, we can not do it. They also have massage center inside the resort as well as a Korean restaurant. Yipeeee! Hooray for Korean barbecue!! It might be a little bit expensive, but it is worth every penny! They also have Korean ice creams and snacks. What more can you ask for? Bring your laptop and watch Korean novelas to complete the feels. And tadaaaa! Welcome to Korea! However, I didn’t like how their bed felt for it hurts my back! Ouch! And the water pressure in the bathroom is soooo weak. Argh! However, the resort is still quite good. I would still recommend to check out their resort though don’t expect much from their accommodation. The resort is clean, pools are clean, great for team building. For me, it is 7/10. Their accommodation is what ruined it for me. I hope that they will improve it soon. So, if you’re budget still ain’t enough for that Korea trip you’ve always wanted and saving for, make this resort as a substitute first since it will give you all those South Korea feels and if you’re lucky enough, you might find an oppa!! 😉
PS. There are some statues that are not suitable for kids. Hehehehe.
